From 2012 to 2014, Richard Jenkins led his company's RFID Programme, introducing product-level RFID to all of M&S' Clothing & Home merchandise. The program also extended new RFID counting technology to all M&S-owned U.K. stores.

In July 2014, he was put in charge of RFID strategic development at M&S, creating a roadmap for future uses of RFID within the business. Since December 2016 he has also headed up Loss Prevention
