Johnathan joined John Lewis in 2010 and in July 2014 became the Buying Director for Electricals and Home Technology. He is responsible for the senior leadership of the Directorate, which accounts for one third of John Lewis divisional sales.

Johnathan is also one of the sponsors for the JLAB programme. JLAB is the start-up accelerator from John Lewis and is designed to fast-track the growth of start-up companies in the retail space. Now in its third year, John Lewis has seen a great deal of new businesses benefit from the experience and advice offered by its team of mentors as well as the investment gained by winning the final.

Prior to his current role, Johnathan held the position of Head of Buying for the John Lewis Electricals business which encompasses the Brown and White goods categories. 

Johnathan has always demonstrated a passion for technology and buying, and prior to joining John Lewis spent ten years working for the Dixons group. He joined Dixons on their graduate scheme following university and from there went on to help develop their international buying team, and before leaving the group headed up the PC hardware team.
